Sand Key Park and Clearwater Community Sailing Center Wedding – Lisa and Matt

History, tradition and connection are all important aspects of the wedding day, but they don’t have to take on the same roles as what one may think. Lisa and Matt did a wonderful job including these elements into their special day in Clearwater Beach, yet kept their wedding celebration uniquely them.

To start things out, we met everyone at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort to capture all the activity and excitement of getting ready. Michele Renee The Studio was doing a great job making sure all the ladies looked their best. Of course that was easy to do in the case of Lisa as her smile alone could light up a room. Once the ladies were ready to get dressed we visited with the gentlemen to capture their shenanigans as well. You see, #TeamIdocks believes that it takes two to make a wedding and each partner should get equal coverage. Matt was super easy to work with and seemed to even appreciate our silly antics. We kept things fun and light as we never want to add stress to what we know is the most stressful time of a wedding: pre-ceremony. After Matt’s formal portraits it was back to the ladies for the final zip and down to the main lobby for some formal portraits of Lisa. Lisa wore her mother’s wedding dress and it couldn’t have been more perfect for her! A bridesmaid went with us to make certain Matt didn’t accidentally get a sneak peek of his beautiful bride.

Matt’s brother in law performed the thoughtful ceremony as Lisa and Matt said their “I do’s” on the beach. Formal family and bridal party portraits followed and we ended the Sank Key Park segment of the wedding with some dramatic sunset images of the bride and groom. Then it was time to turn things over to DJ Kevin Kramer as he got the party going at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center. Affordable Catering made sure that no one was left hungry and the Doughnut tower “cake” from Krispy Kreme was not only fun but delicious and certainly a crowd pleaser. Brian and I had so much fun getting to know this delightful couple and creating beautiful images for them to cherish and remember this momentous day. Enjoy their sneak peek.
