This beautiful Davis Island Garden Club wedding taught me a few things. One, Trey can speak and I nearly fell over at one point when Brian playfully told Trey to “shh.” Two, Nichelle is a very beautiful young lady with great taste in wedding dresses. Three, having your many grandparents as your bridal party is a truly wonderful idea. I had a great time at this wedding. Nichelle and Trey’s friends and family were so much fun and so loving towards one another. It made me smile to see how they truly cared for each other. We first met Nichelle and her mom Glory at Trey’s mother, Sue’s house. They had the most perfect getting ready room ever! Kandice ShaRhea and partner were putting the finishing touches on Nichelle. They did a great job at a classy yet natural look. The day was beautiful and started with a garden ceremony. Guitarist Matt Winter did a great job setting the mood and keeping the party going once we moved inside. After the ceremony and formal photographs we moved to the patio for the first dance. This was a great transition from the garden to the interior space and with the nice weather and lovely breeze it was very comfortable. Once inside everyone sat down to a home style banquet by Catering by the Family. The cake topper was too cute as it showcased the height difference between Trey and Nichelle with the bride atop a suitcase to give her groom a kiss. Of course they had an old suitcase with them so we could recreate the cake topper in a photograph. The great personalities of the grandparents were passed down through the generations as Trey’s sister’s children were show stealers. At the end of the night a quick run through sparklers and off they went! A great night for all involved. Here is their sneak peek!
