Jessica and Don’s Clearwater Beach Wedding

Clouds, no rain… clouds, no rain.  This has become a bit of a mantra for Brian and I as we approach an outdoor wedding, particularly one near or on a beach.  We didn’t have sand to deal with at Jessica and Don’s wedding, but it was as close to a beach wedding as one can get, minus the sand.  Kinda nice if you ask me.  Anyway, as we approached the Holiday Inn we knew everything was going to be great as long as the weather held out.  Jessica and Don are great to work with and so very nice.  We knew this from meeting with them and their engagement session at Sawgrass Lake Park.  Nancy and the staff at the Holiday Inn are top notch.  We have worked with them before as well and knew all would be taken care of on that front.  The D.J. was Frank Lebano of Frank Lebano and Company.  Brian has known and worked with Frank longer than he has with me, so we knew the party would be fun and lively.  Yes, we knew this wedding would be awesome, and that our only wild card was the weather.  As we pulled up to the Holiday Inn our normal 20 minutes early it was sprinkling.  But hey, this is Florida, and as Brian always says, “If you don’t like the weather just wait fifteen minutes and it will change.”  So we checked in, said our “Hi’s” and went to work.  Jessica and her crew were getting ready.  Jessica was a little nervous about the weather but other than that it was a much calmer room than what we normally walk into.  Don and his guys were nose deep into the football game.  They all looked great in their tux’s.  Then out came the sun!  It was all smiles as we went to the ceremony with the lovely cloud streaked sky and the crashing waves.  Once at the reception, Frank took over and got the dance floor moving.  Don even showed us that he truly did have his dancing shoes on!  Top the night off with designer cupcakes from the award winning Jillycakes then we said our goodbyes to the happy couple.  Fun was had by all, even the photographers.  Thank you to all who made it great!  Enjoy their sneak peek. ~Derica
