I believe in the photograph.
That may seem an odd statement, but the photograph defines our world. No matter where you look, there are photographs. They permeate our lives. The photograph, more than any other type of media describes what we perceive to be beautiful, meaningful, or important. It is this definition that I subscribe to.
As a photographer, I seek to pick out the most beautiful, meaningful moments and illustrate them forever in a photograph. This skill has been honed through years of practice and learning. Today’s cameras are so good that nearly anyone can simply use one and create a picture that is worth keeping. As an artist, I use these tools instinctively to transcend merely taking a picture, I create a moment in time in a photograph.
It doesn’t stop there. As a Digital Imaging Professional, I am able to pull out maximum quality and asthetical beauty and creativity from each image by using the latest tools and techniques. Again, these skills did not come easily. I have devoted the better part of my life to the practice of photography and digital imaging. All in the quest to capture that perfect moment, the moment that lasts forever.
I am passionate about the photograph and what it means. Time passes, people age, the world changes, but photographs remain, unchanged. Photographs are immortal and should be revered and treasured for the incredible fortune that they are.
I am constantly learning. This constant search for knowledge has led me to become a member of these organizations:
Tampa Area Professional Photographers Association - Florida Professional Photographers - Professional Photographers of America - National Association of Photoshop Professionals - Association of Bridal Consultants - Bay Area Bridal Association
